Exit the Gungeon is an offshoot of Enter the Gungeon. Unlike the main game, here you do not need to get deeper into the Gungeon, but get out of it as soon as possible, otherwise it will have time to collapse into itself due to the time paradox that has arisen.
Game Plot
Once you reach the heart of Gungeon, you must fight your way out while fighting off the strange inhabitants of a rapidly collapsing world. After completing a humorous training that adds a vertical somersault to the usual set of hero abilities, you can change the character to a more suitable one in spirit and go to the nearest exit.Gameplay
Levels in Exit the Gungeon are assembled into a chain of repetitive solutions and shown from the side. First, you ride the elevator, destroying opponents, then you get into a room with enemies, and then you again go on the elevator to the next hall, fighting a random level boss along the way, after which you will have a break with a store or mini-games. And everything repeats again. Your main means of survival is a somersault, which makes the character invulnerable to enemy projectiles and bullets. In emergency situations, when a roll will not help, you can use a special bomb that will clear the screen of enemy projectiles. Defeating enemies gives you random chests with bonus equipment. This can be an increase in life cells, damage reduction, or other improvements that help in progress. As for weapons, they can no longer be picked up or upgraded. Thanks to the ideas of the developers and the local blessing or curse, it changes randomly every 30 seconds. In Exit the Gungeon, you are less dependent on your skills and the gadgets you get, more relying on chance, which can give you a temporary supergun to destroy the boss, or defective garbage with which you will definitely lose. Naturally, in case of death, you lose all progress and gadgets, and all levels with enemies are randomly created again. However, as it was noted above, there are no tactics here. In most cases, you can avoid the boss's attack with a roll, and sometimes use a bullet-clearing bomb. Much of the content, including music, items, and enemies, is directly carried over from the world of Enter the Gungeon. On PC, Exit the Gungeon has already experienced several patches, after which it became more enjoyable to play.
